Christmas is a time of joy

For friends and family

To share their love and friendship

Around the Christmas tree.

The tree is brightly shining

With presents underneath

The stockings on the mantel

And above, there hangs a wreath.

The children are all excited

They want to be surprised

To see if what they wanted most

Is waiting just inside.

But before the opening of the gifts

Be sure to have a prayer

To thank our Father up above

He gave a gift so rare.

Jesus was born on Christmas day

The most precious gift of all

He came to give eternal life

To those who heed His call.
