He communicates with each of us in many different ways.

Sometimes in circumstances and sometimes in His Word,

And sometimes in our prayers to Him, His voice is clearly heard.

When we hear Him plainly speaking and don’t respond to His plea,

We miss the many blessings He wants to give to you and me.

When we put our faith and trust in Him, we cannot be defeated.

And through us He can accomplish the work He wants completed.

He invites us all to join Him in His work that’s going on.

We’ll have to make adjustments and walk in faith to the unknown.

So when we hear that small, still voice and we choose to obey,

He fulfills His purpose through us as He leads us on the way.

His plan will be completed in His own way and His own time.

As we walk in total obedience, we’ll have many peaks to climb.

At times we’ll feel inadequate and totally unskilled,

But God chooses common people for His glory to be revealed.

We love our Lord and Savior with our heart, mind and soul.

So let’s listen for His voice and be obedient to what we’re told.

Sometimes He’ll ask more of us than we think that we can do.

But I’ll obey and step out in faith; my friend, how about you?
