As we begin a brand
new year
I pray for all people
to see
There really can be
peace on earth
But it begins with you
and me.
We should always be
kind to others
We can extend a
helping hand
We should comfort
those in sorrow
We can lift those
unable to stand.
We should love and
help our neighbors
And be a friend to all
we meet
No matter our color or
background
We’re the same
sitting at God’s feet.
God created us all in
His image
We should always keep
this in mind
Walk His way as we
face each day
His decree is for all
mankind.
Each one of us can
help bring peace
It comes by a change
in our heart
By living for God in
our daily life
Our example will make
a good start.
As we look toward the
coming year
Let’s pray God’s
guidance for all
For when God is in the
hearts of men
Peace will prevail and
evil will fall.
