Isn't Jesus Wonderful

Isn’t Jesus wonderful, isn’t Jesus grand?

He came to the earth to save us and He came here as a man.

He had a special purpose. He died that we’d be free.

The blood He shed on Calvary, He shed for you and me.

If only we had been there when those nails pierced His hands,

We would have seen the list of sins of every earthly man.

The paper nailed behind His hand listed all our many sins.

But every sin was blotted out by His blood spilt from within.

We as sinful creatures should have died upon that cross.

But God our Holy Father let His dear Son pay our cost.

He wanted to bridge the gap between Himself and sinful man,

So He sacrificed the Lamb of God to carry out His plan.

Isn’t Jesus wonderful? Isn't Jesus great?

If He hadn’t died for us, what would've been our fate?

We would be forever lost and would never have any peace.

We’d be doomed eternally and our pain would never cease.

But God loves us so very much and He offers us the Way.

By only accepting Jesus, we can dwell with Him one day.

We can share His home in heaven. We can live eternally.

Isn’t Jesus wonderful and He did it all for you and me.
