I am taking this time to tell you

Though you already know

How much you really mean to me

And why I love you so.

Whenever I need your love and support

I never have to ask

You are always there to help me

No matter what the task.

I am thankful for having parents

Who I honor and I love

For the love you always give to me

I give thanks to God above.

Times were hard when we were young

But we never went without

With help from all our family

And from God, I have no doubt.

Your life hasn’t always been easy

Your share of sorrow you’ve seen

But God was always beside you

And on Him you were able to lean.

God has given good health to you both

And for this you’re truly blessed

You’ve lived a long life together

Many others have had much less.

Each day I give thanks to God

For giving these years with you

I know He’s always by our side

Whatever we ask, He’ll do.

And should tomorrow never come

And we only have this day

I thank God for parents like you

He has blessed us, I can truly say.

My parents celebrated 60 years of marriage this year.
