The
world in which we are living,
seems
to be going from bad to worse.
It
would be easy to get down and
depressed,
if
in God we did not trust.
We
look at all the turmoil and pain
that
millions of people face.
We
know, dear Lord, many endure all
this
unaware
of Your gift of grace.
Daily
they live in constant fear,
suffering
much stress and sorrow.
They
never know from day to day,
if
they’ll be granted another
tomorrow.
We
are blessed to live in a country
where
we can worship without fear.
And,
we don’t need to have
permission,
if
we wish to travel far or near.
We
can speak our minds without
worry,
of
being arrested and locked away.
We
can demonstrate in what we
believe,
and
write in words what we want to
say.
We
should be thankful we are
Americans.
We
live in the greatest country of
all.
But
we must wake up and return to
God,
or
it could be us who are next to
fall.
Many
kings and kingdoms have fallen,
throughout
the annals of time.
They
refused to obey God’s Holy
Word.
They,
themselves, felt they were
sublime.
They
practiced all kinds of evil and
sin.
They
worshiped idols of silver and
gold.
They
continuously rebelled against
God.
His
commands, they did not uphold.
We
also have our own idols; and in
this
day,
they are almost the same.
Our
idols are enjoying worldly
pleasures,
and
we, too, seek fortune and fame.
We
need to be thankful and
understand,
why
America has been so blessed.
It
is because our Founding Fathers,
included
God as part of their quests.
God
desires to be the Lord of our
life,
and
the Lord of this great land.
But
our leaders and all of the people must
adhere
to His will and commands.
Our
country needs a spiritual
revival,
and
it begins in each of our hearts.
Oh
Lord, send Your spirit to revive
us again.
As
Your children, we will do our
part.
