Because Jesus lives within my heart

My life is so secure

The up and downs of daily life

He helps me to endure.

In Jesus I place my hope and trust

He takes me by the hand

He’s the crutch I lean on

When I think that I can’t stand.

He walks beside me day by day

He whispers “I’m with you”

I listen when He tells me

That He’ll always see me through.

He makes my life worth living

And I won’t live it in vain

For God sent His Son to save me

And for that I praise His name.
